DTE ENERGY

August 1, 2016 -  Partnership with DTE Energy.   Cleared overgrowth from vacant lots, alley ways and abandoned houses to take away the covers for drug dealers, drug users and prostitution.  Sustaining the neighborhood lots and alley ways in an effort to decrease crime, eliminate illegal dumping, and improve safety.

BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD OF MICHIGAN

August 6, 2016 —  ARISE Detroit 10th Annual Neighborhoods Day.  In partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield, cleared overgrowth to take away the covers for drug dealers, drug users and prostitution; sustained the neighborhood lots and alley ways in an effort to decrease crime, eliminate illegal dumping, and improve safety.  Cleared and edged the sidewalks for passability and beautification.  REGISTRATION 9:30 A.M. 

START TIME:  10:00 a.m.   END:   2:30 p.m.

UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN - THE DETROIT PARTNERSHIP

RCDC partnered with U-M of MI on October 8, 2016 to give hope and quality-of-life to others.  Cleared away overgrowth and debris thus improving safety and visibility.

“RESTORING NORTHEAST DETROIT”

RCDC Partners with ACCESS, DTE Energy and HAP

Sponsored the 11th Annual National

Arab American Service Day on Saturday, May 16th. Project included: Weeding, planting flowers and mulching around PGBC; Boarded 9 abandoned houses; Painted the boards to beautify the neighborhood; and cleared bush and debris from 8 of the houses boarded and cleaned the lot of a neighborhood senior. Over 300 volunteers.

Registration: 10:00 a.m.   Project: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

COMMUNITY EVENT - RCDC provided community projects for Evangelical Lutheran Church In America Youth Gathering on July 16th and July 18th from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.  The youth removed debris and cleaned up an area in northeast Detroit. (200 volunteers over the two day period)

COMMUNITY EVENT - RCDC  will participate with Presbytery of Detroit in the 2015 Festival of Health held on Sunday, July 19, from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Cass Park (Second & Temple Avenues) of Detroit, MI. Event will happen rain or shine. RCDC will provide equipment to enable mobile dental service to be provided to the homeless.

NEIGHBORHOODS DAY AUGUST 1, 2015

We partnered with the Michigan Department of Corrections.  Our focus was mainly cleaning and sustaining Victor Street, between Orleans and Riopelle Street, and Dequindre Road, immediately south of Victor Street, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

OCTOBER 3, 2015 IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOWE'S

The quality-of-life was improved and hope bought back to this community!!!  Corner of Victor/Orleans Streets to Riopelle Street.  We removed old, worn chain link fences encasing overgrowth, removed brush and debris, cleaned the alley and mowed vacant lots from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
